To facilitate cross-border travel for Chinese and foreign nationals, China has decided to extend its unilateral visa-free policy (for the full list of countries below) until 11:59 PM, December 31, 2026. Additionally, China will implement a visa-free policy for Sweden from November 10, 2025, to December 31, 2026.

Under this policy, ordinary passport holders from the above countries may enter China without a visa for stays of up to 30 days, for purposes including business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit. Those who do not meet the visa-free criteria must apply for a Chinese visa before entry.
